The Dinner Hour

“It’s almost time for dinner,” is much easier to hear than, “Drop what you’re doing and come eat dinner.” But Daisy always comes running when the idea of eating floats out into the air from one of our mouths. The little 20-pounder takes the shortest distance from wherever she is in the house to push her chair out from under the table, climb up into her booster seat, buckle herself in as best she can and say, “bite?” Tonight she turned away rice for three helpings of brussels sprouts! Wow.

Unfortunately, her delight had no effect on Andy.
